About us

Green Park Lodge was opened in April 2006 and is aimed at the discerning traveller who requires more than what a standard B&B establishment or guesthouse would offer. We offer free wireless internet, so after your stressful day; you can relax in the garden, lounge or around the spa pool and wrap up your day in peace and comfort.

3 Park Road consists of 23 bedrooms, with an additional 25 bedrooms at 13 Park Rd (Commonly known as Green Park Annexe)

Unfortunately, as we know the infrastructures of Mthatha can sometimes be challenging, but we endeavour to take this on ourselves, and keep your stay stress free. Our B&B is back-up generator powered for loadshedding between 6am – 10pm. We have 40 000l of water in our tanks and all the water to come into the premises is filtered for your peace of mind.

Situated centrally in Mthatha, Green Park Lodge offers quality and well-appointed accommodation for the discerning traveler.

Accommodation at Green Park Lodge

All rooms are en suite, with private entrances. On site secure parking is available for all guests. Remote access is provided with your keys.

Ironing facilities are available in our laundry room. Please ask at reception for assistance or directions.

We offer a full English breakfast from 6:30am – 9:00am, cooked to order, but breakfast packs are available for the early traveller.

Our dining room hosts the dinner service as well, and a 2 course dinner is available on request between 6pm-7.30pm, with take aways as an option as well.

Each room is fitted with a queen size bed (11 sharing rooms between the 2 properties) and each bed is dressed in a luxury duvet and pillows. Spare blankets are also provided..

Directions

From East London, N2 becomes Nelson Mandela Drive.

GPL second on left opposite the Bowling Club – 3 Park Road.

From Durban enter Mthatha in Madeira Rd. Follow N2 board to East London into Nelson Mandela Drive.

Proceed to Engen/CTM intersection, & turn right into Park Rd.
